how to prepare for appointment

            when you schedule your appt.

Exfoliate! Especially if you dont regularly. Drink lots of water and use lotion every day. Tan skin is hydrated skin.

            day before

Exfoliate (yes, again), shave, wax, facials, any nail services.

            day of appointment

Use no products day of appt.

No lotions, deodorant, moisturizers, makeup, perfumes or serums, as this will create a barrier on your skin and will prevent best results.

what do i wear to appointment?

Loose fitting, dark colored clothes are ideal, any tight clothing may smudge solution on your skin, and create streaks.

We suggest flip flops instead of tennis shoes.

During appointment you may wear whatever you feel comfortable in, we supply disposable thongs and pasties, but you are welcome to wear your own undergarments if you prefer or nothing at all. Please be mindful of resulting tan lines.

Men must wear undergarments during appointments

If raining please bring umbrella, as getting wet will result in spots.

           Why cold water 1st rinse?

Hot water will open up your pores, which allows tan to settle into skin unevenly, this may leave brown dots on areas such as legs and chest, It is recommended to take a cool or lukewarm shower  for your first rinse.

**shaving immediately before tan will have same effect**

Will bronzer rub off on clothes?

Depending on formula used, it is possible, usually will happen when dressing immediately after your tanning service. To minimize this dark loose fitting clothes are recommended. But don't worry, solution will not stain clothing.

Difference in rapid and regular tan?

Rapid Solutions process between 1-4 hours, which means you can shower sooner. Be sure to follow your consultants directions for the ideal color, if suggested to rinse at 2 hrs for a medium tone tan and you decide to sleep in the solution, your color may be deeper than you intended.

           What is dha?

Dihydroxyacetone is a colorless sugar derived from sugar cane and sugar beets. In the 1920s German scientists uncovered  DHA as a revolutionary skin-coloring agent. By 1973, DHA– the active ingredient in sunless tanning products-  had gained approval from the FDA as a safe cosmetic product. From then onward, DHA-based self-tanners  quickly grew popular among consumers.
